Full Coverage Anti-Bluing Heat Shields

To ensure your exhaust retains its original sparkling chrome finish, the system incorporates 2-1/2" (6.35 cm) outer diameter heat shields precision plasma-cut. Providing full coverage along the entire length of the headers and mufflers, these heat shields perfectly insulate the inner steel from heat, virtually eliminating any risk of visible bluing or yellowing.

Chassis Compatibility

Compatible Models (Dyna Twin Cam 2006-2009): Street Bob (FXDB), Low Rider (FXDL), Wide Glide (FXDWG), Super Glide / Custom (FXD / FXDC).

⚠️ Mounting Exclusion: Not compatible with the Dyna Switchback (FLD) model.

Installation Notes and Technical Specifications

• Lambda (O2) Sensor Management: The system comes standard with 18 mm O2 sensor bungs. For models that do not use sensors, an 18 mm plug kit must be ordered separately. Similarly, if your setup requires 12 mm sensors, an 18 mm to 12 mm reduction adapter kit will be necessary.

• Sound Modularity: The internal baffles are removable. If you wish to moderate the volume of your exhaust while retaining heavy bass, optional Quiet Baffles (ref. 558779) are available separately.
